Precise enough, but not at that distance

Accurate up close, falls apart as you pull back — large parts, wide fields, safe standoff

Root cause:Triangulation geometry LUC-VISION™ LUC-POINT™

Why it fails, and why we are not bound by it

Triangulation resolves depth through baseline over distance, so error grows roughly with the square of range; holding precision further out demands a longer baseline, which means a larger head, harder calibration and worse occlusion. FMCW precision follows chirp bandwidth and linearity, not geometry, so it does not degrade with distance.
