What makes it hard
A human scan must handle skin, hair and clothing at the same time. Skin scatters light below the surface. Hair is fine structure that is almost impossible to reconstruct. Dark fabric absorbs much of the light. The subject also sways slightly, so the capture must be fast enough.
What we measured
This is a finished full-body capture. The organic curvature of the torso and limbs is intact, and fabric folds are distinguishable.
